Download Full Screen Wallpapers for Mobiles & Desktop?

We always try to change/update the wallpapers on our desktop as well as on mobile phones. So it's a better idea to download latest wallpapers that match the screen resolution of your desktop/mobile.

Finding Google for Images matching the resolutions?

Google has an option of finding pictures of any size, just by specifying the query - "imagesize:[width]x[height] " keyword at the end of your image search query. This will enable google to display only the images that exactly match the size you specified.

Ex: tom cruise imagesize:1200x800

There is also another way of finding the images of our size. Just enter the image search query and on the left panel you can find the sizes (custom) which also does the same job above.

Now Watch the Special thing about Wallpaper Search using Bing!

Using Bing Image search, you don't even require to worry about the resolution. Bing will take care of everything providing you perfect-sized wallpapers that you are looking for.

1. Go to bing.com/images and search for some pictures (let’s say “desktop wallpapers").

2. Once the result appeared for your query, just click on Size –> Wallpaper in the sidebar.
Bing Image Search
Bing has a very smart function that will recognize your current screen resolution without you having to specify the resolution. This allows you to find number of pictures that matches your desktop resolution.

How to Find Wallpapers for your Mobile Phone?

The same trick that we discussed above works fine even for mobile phones.

1. Just open m.bing.com instead of bing.com in your phone browser.

2. The same process above will work fine. Bing will adjust to your mobile resolution.

What RSS Is? How to Create RSS Feeds for My Website?

rss feed icons
Really Simple Syndication
in short RSS feeds will be extremely useful and the actual purpose of RSS is to receive regular updates of your hobby/interests (a particular website) directly to your screen i.e., your inbox.

Ex: To track DVD prices at Amazon, tech news, news headlines, podcasts, latest audio songs etc...There are so many interesting things you can do with RSS.

What is RSS? It is simply a method that allows a webmaster or a publisher to set up certain feeds (let it be photos, stories, news headlines, podcasts) such that anyone using a RSS reader (a stand alone application or using an email service) can subscribe to that feed and automatically pull down the syndicated information.
Set Up RSS Feed for your Website:

You need to create and publish a RSS XML file (the "feed") in order to to set up an RSS feed on your website. It just looks similar to an URL - www.techzene.org/feed/rss/. The users or readers can then use that link to subscribe to your rss feeds using a mail id to receive alerts in their inboxes. You can also use the RSS URL into the RSS Reader program which automatically updates the latest information.

Each component of an RSS entry has mainly three parts - title, summary, and body. You add the title, summary, and entry date directly into the XML file, while the body portion is just a URL that points to the full entry posting. Your reader program will check the RSS feed regularly and pull down any new entries that have been added. You can really increase traffic to your blog by enabling RSS. With all the millions of blogs out there, you are lucky to get someone to visit your site and then remember to bookmark it and visit again. By making an RSS feed available and prominent on your homepage, readers can quickly and easily add a subscription to your RSS feed if they like your content -- and once in their RSS subscription list, they will see your updated postings and headlines each time they check their RSS readers.

Most sites add the little "XML" button on their sites to indicate an RSS feed is available, or you'll see the little +MY YAHOO button which allows you to add the content to your Yahoo page. And unlike email mailing lists that are often deleted and require personal information from users to sign up (at a minimum, their email address), using RSS to keep in touch with your visitors is much simpler and easier to do -- no emails, no spam, just automatic headlines delivered to those who request them, with sign up and unsubscribe functions all handled by the user and his/her RSS reader. As a webmaster, you can use tools like SilverPop.com's RSSDirect to design and build your XML pages and track user visits and results of your marketing efforts.

The Best RSS Readers and News Aggregators:

There are a lot of third party RSS readers out there that you can use to grab your favorite RSS feeds and display them on your desktop. If using Windows OS, you can try Netnewswire, NewsGator, RSS Bandit, Google Reader, Sharpreader, FeedReader, Feeddemon, and Mozilla Thunderbird. If you're using the Mac, check out FeedTicker, FireAnt, MiNews, NetNewsWire, or Pulpfiction. Instead of manually visiting a dozen sites each day, now they visit you, or at least their feeds visit your reader. In one quick glance, you can see all that is new and decide if there is something you want to visit and dig deeper into. Isn't it wonderful.

Guidelines for Blog Commenting : Do-Follow and No Follow Comments

Blog Commenting GuidelinesBlog commenting is an excellent source of getting one way links pointing back to your site which also gives traffic if you write the comments well.

The more the relevant links, the higher your ranking will be. There are 2 types of blog commenting techniques

1. Do-Follow Blog commenting
2. No-Follow blog commenting (Seems interesting! Right? then Read the complete post...)

When you shout a comment on some one's blog, you need to enter your name, email address and a website URL into a form in order to write your comment.

Take a brief look at the comments that are shot before yours. Notice the names they are using for commenting. Are they using their real name or a pen name? If they are using their real name, so should you. If not, then try to use your targeted keyword instead of the real name. The URL you entered will be incorporated with your name. So using a keyword will boost your ranking.

Below are a few working guidelines that you can follow while commenting on blogs:

  1. Comment on relevant niche blogs to yours. Because, the weight age is more if you get links back from relevant sites than non-relevant ones.
  2. Make an useful comment that will be helpful to others. No one likes to see/approve “superb blog” or “thanks for sharing” or "see my blog" in the comments section.
  3. Comment only when you can add some more useful information to the topic discussed in the post/previous comments else go for another one.
  4. Use deep linking of posts in comments. That means if you have written a similar post on your own blog that is relevant to this, then point back to that post. It is easier for the search engines to crawl your blog and it also makes the readers to read your version too.
There are few people who only comment on “do-follow blogs". But, I suggest you to comment on all blogs that are relevant to yours. May that be a do follow blog or a no-follow blog.
The reason behind this is "do follow commenting" will boost your rankings in Google and not other search engines like yahoo and Bing as their search algorithm is completely different. Bing (previously MSN) rely mostly on these blog commenting, let it be follow or no follow. So, why not use the no-follow commenting to boost your rankings in MSN and Yahoo which sends genuine traffic to your website.
How to find the blogs that are relevant to yours? It's so simple.
  1. Do a Google search of your niche (Ex: Blogging Tips), then you will get a list of blogs that are relevant to yours. Open them and post the comments following the guidelines above.
  2. Join a bloggers community where you can find many blogs which are categorized.
  3. You can also use a free software called Comment Kahuna (commentkahuna.com)
Hope you get the correct information needed. Comments are Appreciated. Start your blog commenting from my blog itself.

SMO - Social Media Optimization Strategy

Social Media Optimization (SMO) is the method of using social media activities with the intent of attracting more unique visitors to a particular website. There are 2 types of methods in website optimization - SEO and SMO
social media optimization smo strategy
and when it comes to SMO, there are again two categories

1. Social Media features (plug-ins) added to our website itself, i.e., adding RSS Feeds, Social News, Sharing buttons like digg, facebook, LinkedIn and user ratings/polling tools and also incorporating other functionalities like Images and Video Clips.

2. Promotional activities include blogging, blog commenting, participating in discussions and anwering questions, posting status messages (like in Google Buzz, Twitter) on Social networking sites (profiles).

Actually, the intention of Social Media is to drive traffic from sources other than just search engines. It is also closely related to Search Engine Marketing.

Social Media is connected to Viral Marketing in many ways where the promotion is done not only through friends and family, but also through the use of social networking like bookmarking, video sharing and image sharing sites. In the similar way, social media is dealing with blogs to achieve the same by sharing content through the use of blogosphere and blog search engines.

Many ORM's (Online Reputation Management Specialists) use this SMO as their integral part when they deal with the clients online presence. Hiring a marketing agency is a very good thought if you don't know the how-to's of media marketing or web marketing.
