URL Hack to Enable Old Google Image Search

Google known for its innovation has recently introduced a new interface (layout) of Google Image Search which resembles the Bing Image Search. But, a lot of people disliked the change and still like to use the Old Google Image Search as the new layout will take more time to load on a PC with slow internet connection. For such users, there is an option specified below to "Revert Back to Old Image Search".



How to Get Back to the Classic Google Image Search?

1. Open the Firefox Browser and in the Address Bar, type “about:config” and press Enter.
2. You'll be prompted to continue, Click On "I'll be careful, I promise".
3. At the Filter Option, Type the attribute “general.useragent.extra.firefox” and it will show up in the results.
4. Right click on it and click on modify.
5. Replace the value to “Mozilla/2.0″ (By default, the value contains the version of your Browser)
6. Click the “OK” button to close.
7. Now, Open Google image search and notice that it will open with the old interface i.e., Classic Google Image Search.

Remember that this hack only works for Image Search and Chance back to the Latest Version (replace the value) in case if you need the New Image Search Interface.

Update: Google has provided an Option to Change back to basic version of Google Image Search. At the Results page simply click on "Switch to basic version" option that you can find at the footer part. If you don't find the option, you can however use the above said URL method.
