Mediafire is one of my favorite free hosting services. However, these days many users are facing problems downloading Mediafire links. The page automatically get refreshed when we click on the download link (adding # at the end of URL) or just showing the "processing download request" instead of providing an option to download.
This happens because Mediafire is prohibiting select countries from downloading the files at a certain time. And It may happens for about 2 or more hours. So instead of waiting for an hour or so, just follow the below trick to get rid of Auto-Refresh Errors in Mediafire.
Internet Explorer Users: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Delete… > select only Cookies > Delete
Mozilla Firefox Users: Go to Tools > Options > Privacy tab > Show cookies > Scroll down and look for mediafire cookies folder and delete it
Google Chrome Users: Click on the Customize button > Option > Under the hood > Clear browsing history > Make sure Delete Cookies and other site data is checked > Click Clear browsing data
Now after changing the preferences as said above, Try to download again. It should work fine now.

ReplyDeleteTried this on firefox 3.6.13. Found out that this is not working. But i found another way around. If you are using a download manager (IDM for example), just copy the download link (shown at the status bar of the browser when hovering on the link) and use it with your download manager.
