Airtel 3G Launched in Karnataka State

Bharti Airtel today launched their much awaited 3G services in Karnataka State, India. However, rest of the states should wait till March'2011.



If you're in Bangalore (Karnataka), you can activate Airtel 3G services using the below steps

• Send SMS as 3G to 121


• You'll then get a reply if your handset is 3G compatible to confirm the activation process.


• Reply to that message to confirm.
  

And To deactivate, send the same message as 3G to 121.

As of now, Airtel offers Pays as you Go plan where you'll be charged as Rs.30p/20KB.

Important:

• Charges : 30p/20KB


• Your 2G data pack will be deactivated upon the activation of 3G services.


• It takes 4hrs to activate 3G on Airtel


• Speed Offered : 21 Mbps
  

The Tariff is not officially confirmed. So call the customer care people before going for 3G activation and confirm.
