Enable Secured HTTPS Mode in Facebook and Twitter for Secure Browsing

Accessing Facebook and Twitter Accounts using secured HTTPS version will enhance the security and protects your account against hackers. The two social networking giants Facebook and Twitter have given the option to enable the HTTPS version from the settings page itself.

How to Enable HTTPS in Facebook?
  1. Login to Facebook

  2. Click on Account -> Account Settings

  3. Facebook Account Settings
  4. Now in the "Settings" Page, Scroll down to "Account Security" option and click on "Change".

  5. Now Check the box labeled "Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) whenever possible"

  6. Enable https Facebook
  7. Click on "Save" button.
That's it! From now on, whenever you logged into Facebook, you'll automatically be redirected to the HTTPS Versions of Facebook.

How to Enable or Activate HTTPS on Twitter?
  1. Login to Twitter

  2. Click on profile name at top right and then click "Settings" option.

  3. Twitter Settings
  4. Now in the "Settings" webpage (under Account tab), Scroll down till you see the the option labeled "Always use HTTPS option"

  5. Now check the box to enable https version of Twitter

  6. Enable Https Twitter
  7. Finally Click Save button. You'll be prompted to provide your Twitter account password to save settings.
That's it! From now, Your twitter is https enabled to allow even more secure browsing.

Note: You'll notice https://www.facebook.com and https://twitter.com instead of regular http://www.facebook.com and http://twitter.com after you enabled the https option in your account.
