How to Hide Facebook Status Updates From Certain Friends?

Facebook allows us to share status messages with all our friends. However, there might be some status messages that shouldn't be known to our family members/colleagues/friends.

So Facebook has provided an option to hide your status updates from certain people.

How to hide status updates from friends on Facebook?

1. Login to your Facebook account.
   
2. Go to your Facebook profile page.
   
3. After typing your status, click on the lock symbol that is visible beside the share button
   
4. You can now select from the drop-down menu of your choice to hide your facebook status from select people (as many as you want).
   

Note that you can also select a particular group that you created, say for example "Family" or "Colleagues" from getting your status updates.
