How to Enable/Install Telnet Client in Windows 7?

Microsoft Telnet, a program that enables you to connect with a remote computer by logging in. A very useful software in many critical situations.
By default, Telnet client will not be available on Windows 7 though there are many free telnet softwares for use. However, if you are a fan of Microsoft, then here is the step by step process to enable Microsoft Telnet in Windows 7.

How to Install Microsoft Telnet Clent on Windows 7?

  1. Login to your computer as an Administrator

  2. Goto Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features

  3. On the left side of "Programs and Features" window, you find an option "Turn Windows features on or off". Click on it. A small additional window will pop up.

  4. Scroll down the list until you find the "Telnet Client" option and check mark it. Next click "OK"
That's it! Windows will now install all the files required to run the Telnet client on your computer.

Note: once it is enabled, you can run it using the default command promt.
