Update Facebook Status using Gtalk Messenger

Do you know that you can update your Facebook status through Gtalk? Of course, there are several methods to post status on Facebook using mobile, mail, third-party apps and browser add-ons etc...But using Gtalk is an easy way to update Facebook status, why because, we always hangout at Gtalk to chat with friends and this will come handy.

How to Update Facebook Status using Gtalk?

1. Login to your Facebook account and then goto this FBBOT app page.


2. Click on "Allow"


3. In the next, you'll have two steps to setup the application running.
   


4. Step1: Add fbbot@bot.im to your Gtalk client like you usually add your friends email ID.


5. Step2: Paste the given code to the added email in the bot window.
   


6. You'll then get a confirmation message saying "You are added. You can Start posting..."


7. Now to test, just send any message (for ex: [Test]‎ Status Update using FBBOT) to the bot.
   


8. That's it! Your status message will be posted on your Facebook wall and link to the post is displayed in the message box.
   

From now on...you don't need to login to Facebook for just posting your status. Simply use your Gtalk messenger to do so.
