What is Web Analytics?

Web Analytics help us to measure, collect, analyze and report the internet data (website traffic) for understanding purpose so that we can optimize or enhance the areas (not performing well) that need attention.

Why Web Analytics?

Web Analytics is not just a website traffic measurement tool but also can be used as a tool for researching business and market. Analytic applications will help the companies to measure or monitor the results of traditional print advertisement campaigns. Using so will help us to estimate how the traffic to the website changed after the launch of a new advertising campaign. Analytic tools provide data about the number of visitors, page views, time on site etc to gauge the traffic and popularity trends which help us do the market research.

What are different types of Web Analytic Tools?

Note: some of the above mentioned analytic tools are paid (accurate).
