Access Facebook Account From Gmail Interface

As all you know, Gmail is the most used email service on the web and Facebook is the most popular social networking site. What if you get a chance to browse Facebook inside your Gmail account? This facility will definitely save your time and effort as you can simply use both the services with single signin.

Gmail Labs has an option called "Facebook Gadget" which will actually do the trick.

How to Integrate your Facebook Account into Gmail Account?
  1. Login to your Gmail account.
  2. On the top right corner, you will see a "wheel button". Clicking on it will provide a drop-down menu where you'll find the "Mail Settings" option. Click it.
  3. In the Settings menu, find the tab named "Labs" and click it.
  4. In the Tabs menu, search for word "Add a gadget by its URL" and Enable it. After that go to the bottom of the page and click on "Save Changes"

  5. Again go to "Mail Settings" page where you can notice a new tab "Gadgets" is added in addition. Click on it and you'll find an option to Add a Gadget by URL.
  6. Enter the following URL in it and click Add button.

  7. You'll see the Facebook option on your left sidepanel. Click on it and Signin to your Facebook. Remeber that it will ask your for a permission to access your Facebook account. Click "Allow".

That's it! You can now happily check your Facebook Status messages and other stuff right from your Gmail interface itself.
