Avoid Distractions on the Webpage While Watching Videos Online

Do you watch a lot of videos online? Who doesn't :). So, this post is for all of us who like to watch videos without any distractions on the webpage that is serving the video.

Turn Off the Lights is an excellent chrome extension that dims the advertisements and content around the video. It just highlights the video, letting us watch the video more comfortably.



Using the Turn Off the Lights plugin is very easy. Just install it and after the installation, you can notice a lamp icon next to the address bar. When watching any video, just click on the lamp icon and the entire page will be faded to black color thus highlighting the video.

To return back to the normal state, simply re-click the lamp icon. You can also use the windows shortcut key Ctrl+Shift+L to turn on/off the lights. It supports all the popular video sites.

You can easily increase the opacity and also change the background color as per your need using the options page (right click on the lamp icon).
