Google ChromeBooks, powered by Chrome OS are now available for sale through Amazon.com in U.S locations. If you're in locations other than U.S like India, then you should wait to get one as they are not shipping to other countries as of now. But if you really want to get one, you can use the package forwarding service.
As of now, Acer and Samsung are offering ChromeBooks with the following features..
- Acer Cromia - 11.6" display with dual-core Intel processor, 2GB RAM
- Samsung Series 5 model - 12"1 display with Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM
- Acer Cromia (Wi-Fi) : $380
- Acer Cromia 3G : $450
- Samsung Wi-Fi ChromeBook : $399
- Samsung 3G ChromeBook : $449
Chromebooks are especially designed for people who were frustrated with their slower and insecure web experience. Unlike the ordinary computers and laptops, Chrome notebooks come with Chrome OS which is specially built and optimized for web.
But, one major disadvantage of Chrome Books is you cannot perform any tasks without an Internet connection, as everything thing you do on Chrome Book will be saved on clouds.
