Did you entered wrong name for your Facebook Fan Page? Do you want to rename your Facebook fan page? If so, here is a good news for you. Facebook has given an option to rename or edit the fan page name but unfortunately, it can be possible only if your fan page has fans below 100.
The limitation is imposed because many people try to sell their fanpages once they reach 100 fans. To prevent this misuse from happening, they imposed a rule that a page that a fan page should have fans below 100 in order to edit the name.
How to Edit or Rename Facebook Fan Page Name?
- Go to Facebook -> open your Fan page
- Click on "Edit Page" link which is found on the top right corner
- Go to "Basic Information" and then search for the option "Name".
- Now, change the name in the text box to your desired name.
- Click "Save Changes" button at the bottom.
Note: If you've fans in between 100 - 150 range, you can simply delete a few people who are inactive. This helps your fan page to fall below the maximum range specified by Facebook (<100 fans) and so you can easily get an option to rename your fan page.
I was more interested in knowing if there is someway to change the Fan page URL. Lots of people do spelling mistakes while entering their fan page url
ReplyDeleteOnly way as of now is to remove a few fans from the fan page (make it <100) and rename the page. Let's hope Facebook will remove this rule..
