1. Login to your Gmail
   
2. On the top right corner, you'll find a wheel (settings) icon. Click on it.
   
3. In the drop-down menu, select the "Mail Settings" option
   
4. Now in the next screen, choose the "themes" tab
   
5. Now, select the theme named "Dense" (you'll find it at the bottom of the page)
