Dual SIM Supported Android Mobiles in India

There is no need of any of introduction to the android mobiles these days! Every 8 people out of 10 are having a mobile that is powered by Android Operating system in India. But, a little creative companies like Motorola & Spice have decided to go further by launching Dual SIM android mobile phones which is a very rare feature at this point of time.

Motorola XT800 ZHISHANG

Though Motorola isn't the leader in Android mobile market, it is turning many people towards it with its new innovative Dual SIM android phone, Motorola XT800 ZHISHANG. The mobile is equipped with a 3.7" TFT Capacitive touchscreen (480 x 854px) and is powered by Android v2.0 (Eclair) operating system, 550MHz Cortex-A8 processor, PowerVR SGX530 GPU, TI OMAP3430 chipset and a 512MB RAM in the backend.

It has sensors such as Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate and Proximity sensor for auto turn-off. The screen is made up of Gorilla glass which is durable. It supports the usage of two different SIM cards (Dual SIM - GSM + CDMA) at the same time. You can use a GSM and a CDMA network SIM cards at a time.



The main advantage of this mobile over the other android mobile phones is that it has the support for video calling while no other android mobile at this price range has got a front camera. The mobile ports a front camera which allows you to make video calls using different 3G services in India. The rear camera has a 5MP quality (2592 x 1944px) with auto-focus and Dual LED flash. You can also shoot high quality videos (720 x 480) @24fps. The mobile comes with an Internal memory of 1GB, however you can extend it using a microSD card up to 32GB.

The other connectivity options include GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB (Micro USB) and GPS.

It has a standard battery, Li-Po 1390 mAh which gives you a stand-by time up to 100 h and talk time up to 5 h 40 min. It's weight including the battery is 137 gm.

Spice Mi-270

Yet another Dual SIM android phone which is available in two colors, Black and White at an affordable price tag of Rs. 5,200.

Spice Mi 270 is an Android v2.2 (Froyo) powered mobile with 2.8" TFT touchscreen (240 x 320 px) and Mediatedk’s 600MHz processor. It is also said to be the first Android smartphone in India with Dual SIM support (GSM + GSM). It has the Wi-Fi capability, GPS and Bluetooth support.

The primary camera on the back side is having a 2MP quality (1600x1200 px). No video calling support. You can extend the memory using the microSD card of upto 16GB. It has a standard battery, Li-Ion 1000 mAh which gives you a stand-by time of up to 320 h and talk time of up to 3 h.



The only disadvantage of this mobile is that it doesn't have the support of 3G which is very mandatory for people in India now-a-days though only a few actually use it :). Other than that, it's worth your money.
