Have you been looking to buy a new Google ChromeBook? Does its price bugs you? If so, here is a good news for you.
Acer has dropped the price of their AC700 ChromeBook (Wi-Fi version) to $299. Though the Price on Amazon.com & Acer.com still mentions the same old price ($349), the reduced price ($299) will be reflected in your total price once you added the product to your shopping cart.
Samsung too has done the same thing earlier. Samsung dropped the prices of their Chrome laptops by as much as 10% i.e., the Samsung Series5 ChromeBook (Wi-Fi version) is selling for $399.99 (earlier it costed $429.99), while Series 5 ChormeBook (3G+Wi-Fi) is selling for $449.99 (earlier it costed around $499.99).

But, its still not something very great.
ReplyDeleteI never took great interest in chromebook, because i simply don't like google doing everything. Google is using its search engine fame to promote its new producs.
Because, chromebook is just cloud based, i don't think it'd be of any use if you use a slow connection. You really need some high speed connection, which is not easy to find here. For me, Windows or Linux would be a better choice.
ya narender, it's mainly for users who live in metro cities or places where we've high speed internet connection. But the beauty of this chromebook is that we don't have to worry about the backup/security as everything is stored in clouds. The only disadvantage is its less harddisk space. It can definitely be preferred for blogging or web mastering needs.
