Kurt Roemer, Chief Security Strategist, stated that “Desktop virtualization delivers centralized control and management of desktops, applications and data delivered to any endpoint device. It also offers granular, policy-based access control and supports compliance requirements. It embeds an important infrastructure-level of information governance that enhances risk management, across information security and compliance”.

3 Early Signs of Virus Infection on a PC
Viruses are so malign in nature that big companies and governments spend a lot of money to prevent them from getting into their systems. Everybody is afraid of what the outcome of having viruses in their system may be. You may not be aware of the presence of these programs in your computer some times, and these could mean some ill. You’d want to avoid having viruses in your computer at all cost. But you may not even be aware that they are already in it.
That’s why I want to share with you some signs your computer would display if you have a virus program in your computer in this article. Once you notice any of the signs I would be sharing below, you should install a strong antivirus program to help you remove it.
Unusual Slow Performance of your Computer
If your computer is meant to work very fast, like let’s say you have something around 500GB hard drive and 4GB random access memory or RAM on your computer. Looking at the high capacity of such a computer, you’ll want to agree with me that it should not perform slowly under any circumstances.
Then, if yours’ is with this value of capacity and it is somewhat unusually slow, you’d want to see that the files and programs on it are not the ones slowing it down. Once you’ve proved to yourself that they are not then you may go ahead to agree that you have a virus program in your computer.
Unexpected Closure of Running Programs
There was a computer I bought for my blog that features acronis true image coupons and Norton antivirus code back then. At some point I began to notice that my windows do shut down unexpectedly. After meeting several computer technicians and engineers, it was traced to me having viruses in my computer.
Oftentimes viruses may not allow you to install some programs on your computer. Whenever you notice something like this on your computer or that of your friends, or office, you should get a good antivirus program to get rid of it.
In this way a virus can make you lose your files, especially when you’ve not saved them before the window shuts down unexpectedly.
Excessive lose of Internet Bandwidth
Another sign that you’ll see when you have a virus in your computer is when your internet bandwidth usage is becoming too high compared to the way you are using it. If you are not downloading excessively and you notice that your internet bandwidth is reading something else, you’ll want to check if this is the work of a virus.
Viruses also use the internet whenever they are in your computer. For example, if a virus wants to send you browsing history and passwords to its programmer it will make use of the internet.
There are also instances where viruses download files from the internet and install them on your computer. Whenever you notice this in your computer, you should run a quick system scan for viruses on your computer. You might also need to schedule a boot time scan to make it more effective.

Considering this fact, Facebook provides you an option in its privacy settings to prevent unfamiliar friends from sending friend requests to you.
- Login to Facebook > Go to "Privacy Settings"
- Click on the link that says "Edit Settings". A pop-up window is displayed.

- Click on the drop-down menu that is highlighted with "Everyone" under the option "Who can send you friend requests?" and change it to "Friends of friends".

Always, remember to not accept friend requests unless you know him/her personally or atleast check whether you both have any friends in common (mutual friends).

Hidden Lock, a Free Screen Lock App for Android Mobiles
You might've used a lot of screen locking softwares on your android mobiles that provide PIN facility to unlock. However, a password protected phone is uncomfortable to use since unlocking it every time using a password lessens your interest to use it. But, there is no need to worry as here is the best alternative lock screen app for android, Hidden Lock.
Hidden Lock doesn't require any PIN or pattern to lock/unlock. It allows you to put a small unlock button anywhere on your mobile screen and then hides it so that no one else except you knows where to tap on the screen to unlock the mobile
You can only unlock by tapping and holding the screen at the correct location where you placed the hidden lock.
The only disadvantage of this app is that if the intruder has plenty of time to play with your mobile, then he might easily unlock it by tapping on every square inch of your mobile screen and get hold of it.
Hidden Lock is free to use. However, the pro version ($1) allows you hide the notification icon & additional customization options.

Can I Find Out Who Visited My Facebook Profile?
I'm sure most of you might have this question in mind. But, the answer to this question is "NO".
There were a few Facebook apps that claim to track the visits to your Facebook profile, but that is not possible. As per the Facebook policy and terms of usage, it's not allowed to track who is viewing your Facebook profile unless until the person liked/commented/shared your status.
Facebook also ensures that those applications that make such false claims are removed immediately as it is against their ToS.
Remember that you can only track visits to your Facebook fan pages and not for Facebook user profiles.
However, you can know Who unfriended you on Facebook easily.

Secure Your WordPress Blog to Stay Away from Security Threats
Hacking has become so popular these days and Wordpress blogs are pretty easy to hack if not secured properly. Once if the blog is hacked, a lot of money, efforts spent to make it popular will all be lost. So below are a few tips that will help to make your wordpress blog stay away from security threats.
- Update your WordPress Version:
- Only Use Strong Passwords:
- Make Use of WP-Config File:
- Use the .htaccess file wisely:
- Control the File Permissions
Wordpress is a web based software and so it always contains major/minor bugs that may be used by the hackers to get access to your blog. That is the reason, wordpress programmers constantly improve their software thus making it more stable in dealing with these kind of hackers.
So always remember to update you wordpress version immediately when released.
This is the easiest mode of gaining access to any website/blog if you use your personal info like name, birthday, phone number etc..as your password. Always try to make it so complex that others couldn't even think about what your password may be..
An example of such password: A123abcd@(myWeb[dot]com)The above is just an example. Use the combination of Uppercase, Lowercase, Numerical and Special Characters for more secured password. Try to change it regularly (atleast once for every 3 months) and store it at a safe place (except in digital format).
Adding a secret key will help protect your configuration settings from unauthorized intrusions. WP-Config file contains secure information related to MYSQL database names, passwords etc... So if you don't want your wordpress to be hacked, use the secret key.
To setup the secret key, visit visit https://api.wordpress.org/secret-key/1.1/ and copy the appeared information into your wp-config.php file.
.htaccess file is the key file that allows setting up the access rights to various directories. So, Make proper use of the .htaccess file to limit the access to your website folders. You can even set a particular IP address from which you can access your information. Visit AskApache tutorial for more details on "How to setup .htaccess File?".
There are sometimes, where the default permissions set during the wordpress installation may not be acceptable in terms of security. In those situations, you need to recheck them manually and change the file permissions according to your theme/hosting requirements. This you can do either by using FTP client or right from the admin panel.
For more details on File Permissions, visit the WordPress Codex.

Prevent your iPhone/iPad Location and Backup Data Being Tracked
As stated by many geeks, iPhones and iPads are silently tracking our locations and logging info while we sync our gadgets or backup the files. Another scary thing is that this tracked information is not encrypted and can be accessed by anyone who gets their hands on our devices or laptops (where the data is saved).
The only solution in-front of us is to encrypt the backup and location information with a hacker-proof password so that a third-party person cannot view our details even though he'd got the files.
How to Encrypt iPhone/iPad tracking locations and backup info?
- Plug in your iDevice into your computer using the cable and connect to iTunes.
- Open the iTunes Menu and select your device.
- Scroll down a little until you find the button that says "Encrypt iPhone (or iPad) Backup" and click on it.

- Next, enter a strong password.
