How & Where to Find the IMEI Number?

Each and every mobile phone will have a unique IMEI number (International mobile equipment identification) which could be used in situations like mobile theft. As the IMEI number is not SIM card dependent, you can easily catch hold of your mobile even though the SIM card has been replaced.

In Order to find your mobile’s IMEI number, simply dial *#06# and note down your IMEI number for future reference. If you forget to write down your mobile’s IMEI beforehand, then don’t worry! It can also be found on the backside of the box in which the mobile was packed when you first purchased it.

  1. First, approach your nearest police station and lodge a complaint about your missing/lost mobile phone. They use the IMEI tracker technology to locate the mobile.
